Catastrophic Totality: Lukács, the Frankfurt School, and the Afterlife of Immanence (Peer reviewed, in-progress.)
Bringing Lukács, Hegel, Adorno, Horkheimer, Martin Jay, Lacan, and Derrida into dialogue, this project examines the persistence of totality within traditions that repeatedly announce its demise.
"Tracing an Itinerary of the Native Informant" (Under peer-review)
Beginning with Spivak and extending through Lazarus, Brown, Sørensen, and postcolonial criticism more broadly, this project explores mediation, representation, and epistemic authority across colonial and postcolonial contexts.
After Transgression (Monograph. Forthcoming.)
Drawing on Nietzsche, Bataille, Blanchot, Foucault, Derrida, Dufourmantelle, Cixous, Levinas, Arendt, and hooks, this monograph traces the rise and exhaustion of transgression as an ethical and pedagogical ideal before turning toward questions of responsibility, care, and asymmetrical obligation.
"Janus-Faced Cosmopolitics, including the case of Singapore and some Counter-Readings" (In-progress.)
Through Kant, Robbins, Appadurai, Appiah, Balibar, and contemporary cosmopolitan thought, this project examines the tensions between universality and exclusion, hospitality and boundary, openness and belonging.
